Meet Jildert, acupuncturist

I'm Jildert, an acupuncturist by both conviction and experience. My work is all about attention, precision, and care. I look beyond the symptoms and explain clearly what your body needs. I do this in a calm and relaxed atmosphere, offering expert guidance. Clients often describe me as friendly and approachable: someone who walks alongside them on their journey to recovery and greater vitality.

I have a mild form of autism myself. This means I'm sensitive to stimuli, but I also work in a structured way, listen carefully, and observe carefully. In practice, this helps me pay close attention to what your body and nervous system are showing and need.

I completed my four-year training at the Qing-Bai Academy of Chinese Medicine in Amersfoort and Breda, where I immersed myself in the classical principles of Chinese medicine. I also earned my diploma in Western Medical Basics, giving me a solid foundation in both traditional and modern medical insights.

In my previous career as an IT consultant, I worked in a demanding, high-performance environment. Sports helped me maintain balance for a long time; as a triathlete, I trained intensively. However, during a training period in the Alps, I suffered heatstroke, followed by an injury and persistent physical and mental complaints. This combination ultimately forced me to quit my work as an IT consultant.

In the period that followed, space arose for reflection and recovery. I discovered how essential an integrated, holistic approach to health is, in which body and mind are inextricably linked.

The turning point came when I began receiving acupuncture treatment. There, I experienced clear relief for the first time: more space in my body, peace of mind, and a tangible sense of recovery and progress. This experience formed the foundation for my further exploration of Chinese medicine and my current practice.

I view acupuncture as a continuous process of learning, deepening, and refining. I continue to educate myself and learn from workshops and fellow specialists to further optimize my treatments.

With this knowledge and my own experience with overload, illness, and recovery, I'm happy to support you. I'll walk alongside you with care and expertise, so you can work step by step towards recovery, resilience, and a greater sense of freedom in your own body.
